Zengines Data Platform overview

The Zengines platform contains products that are focused on specific data challenges. The platform handles the scale, complexity and AI needs, and is where users and assets are managed.

The main products; Data Migration and Data Lineage, have a project based structure. Users can create projects or be added to a project as a member (what actions they can perform depends on their role).

User roles

  • Administrators - can manage users, edit all products, projects and content

  • Editors - can see all projects with in the product they are a member of, create and edit projects

  • Contributors - can only see and assist on specific projects they are made a member of

Your Zengines Customer Success person will set up access and manage your user accounts and permissions. The users will receive emails to guide them through account setup and activation.

In addition there are addition access roles that can be added to Editors and Contributors to broaden their default set of tool/feature access. The permissions these additional roles add are already part of the Admin Roles.

  • Utility User - can see and use the platform Utility tools, these are advance tools and access to these should generally be restricted.

This is where migration projects are created and executed. From defining what sources to convert and the what targets to migrate to, through mapping and transformation, on to conversion and the generation of load files and data.

Data Lineage

Data lineage projects allow enterprises to explore the black box of mainframe data systems to understand the dependences between code modules, datasets, databases, and systems.

Zengines Utilities

Data comes in all shapes and sizes, and we understand that each organization has its own specific challenges. Zengines utilities are a range of tools to help you wrangle the data into something you can work with.
